DESCRIPTION:

PURPOSE OF POSITION: Provide programming in a sports talk show format that will generate the highest ratings and yield the greatest revenue. Also this person will be involved of all the stations Digital platforms to maximize exposure and revenue.

PRINCIPALS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Should have strong opinions about sports - Outside PR for the radio station for promotional purposes - Work holidays as sports events merited - Numerous station events for sponsors and station partners - Broadcast numerous live remote broadcasts from various locations - Open to the endorsement of products for sales related opportunities - Open to limited travel for major sporting events - Comfortable with their work being video streamed on station web-site. Personality will be encouraged to also do charitable events on behalf of the station. Host will also be asked to travel on behalf of the station for local and national sporting events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

PREFERRED: B.A. in Communications or Sports Management - Minimum 5 years top ten market experience on-air Radio/TV - Experience as a writer for blogs, or sports publications - Nationwide sports knowledge - Professional experience as an Athlete - Major market sports broadcasting experience preferred - Strong on-air communication skills - Energy on the air along with strong Nationwide sports content - Ability to work successfully with people at all levels of authority, experience and training; encouraging them to do creative and satisfying work under a variety of conditions
