Digital Sales Manager - CBS Radio Philadelphia

The Digital Sales Manager is a leadership role responsible for managing digital sales operations at CBS Radio Philadelphia. The Digital Sales Manager sets a tone and culture that can help the sales team achieve sales and revenue targets with ever-more-sophisticated clients in a dynamic and highly competitive marketplace. The Digital Sales Manager will create revenue by having a deep understanding of clients’ needs and the local marketplace, and through coaching and guiding their team. The Digital Sales Manager position reports to the VP Director of Sales.


Your primary responsibilities will include the following:

Develop sales strategies for achieving revenue goals

Directly manage a team of Digital Sales Specialists

Motivate, educate, and lead a team of sales professionals

Build strong relationships with your sales team, clients, and vendors

Manage the valuation of online inventory

Manage the insertion order, campaign execution, and campaign reporting process

Provide Director of Sales with the necessary sales reports, revenue and expense budgets, forecasts, and market analysis

Create and execute marketing programs and client services

Develop, implement, and communicate sales strategies and action plans

Identify, hire, coach, train, and motivate Digital Sales Specialists and Digital Service Delivery Team members

Drive results through others, manage team performance, set clear expectations, and hold team accountable against business metrics.

Oversee efforts of sales team by reviewing sales proposals and negotiating with clients

Implement ongoing team management routines (e.g., sales staff meetings)

Develop innovative sales commission and incentive plans that drive desired sales behaviors and results

Implement sales activities that generate new business and deepen existing relationships (e.g., attend and participate in trade shows/community organization events)

Translate market and station business strategies into specific actions that generate sales and revenue
