CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. DESCRIPTION:

The Digital Sales Specialist will work with the CBS Owned & Operated Television Stations’ sales teams, in planning and executing online advertising campaigns.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The Digital Sales Specialist will organize online sales efforts of the Sales teams and assist in the development of new revenue opportunities and maintenance of new/existing campaigns. Working with internal teams and external clients, the Digital Sales Specialist will provide detailed client service to ensure the teams success. Responsibilities include:

  • Create media plans and customize sales proposals and presentations for local/national/multi-market opportunities

  • Responsible for day-to-day management of all advertising sales including forecast management, campaign management and sales analysis including:

  • Online order-entry and management of local/national digital campaigns

  • Submit online campaign creative and track pacing

  • Work with CBS creative teams on production of web creative for digital campaigns

  • Manage creative process for ads including resizing, digitizing, etc

  • Monitoring campaigns and communicating with sales team and client regarding proposed revisions, campaign optimization, delivery

  • Coordinate special requests, contest pages, approvals, etc. with CBS Local Digital Media team

  • Work with CBS Local / CBS Television research teams to maintain accurate online media kits

  • Assist in prospecting of new clients

  • Support sales teams in developing sponsorships around major CBS initiatives and manage availability

(NFL Football, College Basketball, Grammy Awards, Primetime Programming, etc)

  • Assist CBS Television Stations marketing teams in developing integrated media campaigns

QUALIFICATIONS:

CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge of the online & traditional media business

  • Excellent sales skills including the ability to handle multiple projects at once

  • Good organizational and time management skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent listening and presentation skills

  • Team oriented

  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint and Excel

  • Understanding of Wide Orbit, DFP, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, comScore, Scarborough, Adobe Creative Suite CS, and other web related applications a plus

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in advertising/media field. Traditional media experience (especially TV) is a plus

  • BS / BA degree required

  • Dedicated and driven work ethic, excellent writing skills, and outstanding computer skills
