CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. Among its stations are WCBS-TV and WLNY-TV (New York), KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV (Los Angeles), WBBM-TV (Chicago), KYW-TV and WPSG-TV (Philadelphia), KTVT-TV and KTXA-TV (Dallas-Ft. Worth), KPIX-TV and KBCW-TV (San Francisco), WBZ-TV and WSBK-TV (Boston), WUPA-TV (Atlanta), WWJ-TV and WKBD-TV (Detroit), KSTW-TV (Seattle), WTOG-TV (Tampa-St. Petersburg), WCCO-TV (Minneapolis), KCNC-TV (Denver), WFOR-TV and WBFS-TV (Miami), KOVR-TV and KMAX-TV (Sacramento), KDKA-TV and WPCW-TV (Pittsburgh), WJZ-TV (Baltimore), as well as WCCO-TV’s satellite stations KCCO-TV (Alexandria, Minn.) and KCCW-TV (Walker, Minn.).
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Work with a driven and motivated team to support the local television sales operations of WBBM-TV/CBS2 Chicago. Responsible for maximizing new business revenue on CBS2, CHICAGO.CBSLOCAL.COM, and other CBS initiatives. Responsible for revenue goals which also include servicing existing business along with developing new business for CBS2 Chicago.
Develop new-to-television advertisers through prospecting, networking, cold calling, conducting customer needs analysis and presenting innovative ideas and effective television and digital campaigns; closing and managing the business.
Sell CBS television and digital to advertising agencies and their accounts within the Chicago Metropolitan area.
Recognize multi platform and/or multi market opportunities that will benefit CBS; work with management to bring solutions for clients. Understand competitive landscape and be able to position CBS brand(s) in order to maximize CBS value.
Develop accounts from existing linear business to digital business.
Achieve quarterly sales goals.
Knowledgeable about the market/industry and proficient in our programming, social marketing, EcoMedia, sports assets and all available resources within our CBS Health Solutions and Community Partnership brands.
Maintain strong working relationship with direct clients and all other personnel related to the purchase of Chicago Media.
Represent a favorable station image to the Chicago community.
Handle all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
Project and forecast activity of all accounts.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree/College Preferred
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Minimum three (3) Years Previous Media Sales Experience preferred.
