DESCRIPTION:

Working

within CBS Radio's new in-house traffic content and sales operation

team, you will be overseeing local traffic content and reports for multiple

stations. You will ensure efficient and effective execution for the information

gathering and dissemination across CBS Radio broadcast and digital platforms

Responsibilities

include:

  • Leadership: Build and maintain high

performing staff that serves both local and out of market CBS Radio stations. Responsible for recruiting and

maintaining twenty four hour staffing levels in accordance with local

budget. Work with national and local content

team to ensure content continuity.

  • Traffic:

Satisfy the needs of the Station Program Director and Market

Manager vision for content execution.

Oversight of all Traffic Reporters and Editors including

recruiting, training and regular performance critiques

  • Partners: Ensure all Traffic Partners are

delivering within your assigned territory as outlined in the national

agreement. Responsible for oversight

of all local traffic partners including but not limited to tip lines, app

pushes, government authorities, etc.

  • Ad Operations: Put systems in place to ensure highest

level of commercial compliance

  • Future: Growing knowledge of local community

traffic trends and new start-ups where CBS Radio could partner

As part of the

Management Team, participate in strategy development, budgeting and planning,

assessment of results, and creation of appropriate action plans for this new in

house traffic business.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requirements:

  • Expertise in leading or working within

broadcast traffic or news

  • Leading an operations function, ideally

during a period of high growth or turnaround

  • Experience developing and redesigning

processes and reporting* Operational analysis

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and

parallel many competing priorities

  • Cross functional team leadership and

participation, hands on approach* Project management

  • Business insight and judgment with

exceptional follow through

  • Proactive communicator regarding obstacles

and progress
