CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. Among its stations are WCBS-TV and WLNY-TV (New York), KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV (Los Angeles), WBBM-TV (Chicago), KYW-TV and WPSG-TV (Philadelphia), KTVT-TV and KTXA-TV (Dallas-Ft. Worth), KPIX-TV and KBCW-TV (San Francisco), WBZ-TV and WSBK-TV (Boston), WUPA-TV (Atlanta), WWJ-TV and WKBD-TV (Detroit), KSTW-TV (Seattle), WTOG-TV (Tampa-St. Petersburg), WCCO-TV (Minneapolis), KCNC-TV (Denver), WFOR-TV and WBFS-TV (Miami), KOVR-TV and KMAX-TV (Sacramento), KDKA-TV and WPCW-TV (Pittsburgh), WJZ-TV (Baltimore), as well as WCCO-TV’s satellite stations KCCO-TV (Alexandria, Minn.) and KCCW-TV (Walker, Minn.).
Have a thorough understanding of the methodology, depth and scope of Nielsen, Nielsen NLTV, Rentrak, Wrap Overnights SQAD, Kantar and Scarborough (Prime Lingo) syndicated media research data. Develop custom category and client specific presentations. Develop projections and estimates. Ability to distill findings and publish results using Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Develop agency/client presentations. Able to present effectively to small and large groups of industry peers and clients. This position will perform media analysis and marketing support for KCNC-TV Denver.
Manage and complete requests from all of our local station account executives
Responsible for the orientation of any new Account Executives with regard to research tools
Responsible for computer issues affecting research tools
Create and Update template presentations (sports & specials) that are utilized by local sales
Create PowerPoint Slides illustrating the success of KCNC
Presentations to clients using qualitative research (Scarborough, ComScore, NPower)
Analyze & interpret Nielsen Ratings data.
STRATA maintenance - Create rating estimates for programs, specials & sports
Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
Customer service focused
Strong knowledge of Power Point, Word and Excel
Knowledge of Nielsen NLTV, Strata, Scarborough Prime Lingo, Wrap Overnights and Wrap Sweeps
College Degree in Marketing or Advertising or equivalent work experience
Experience in broadcast TV or cable
Highly proficient with a PC utilizing Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent writing, math and oral communication skills are essential.
Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude
Ability to handle multiple projects at a time, with superior time-management skills
4+ years of local broadcast research experience
