This position is a versatile role that requires the incumbent to work on a variety of projects, often simultaneously. Ability to manage and lead a team, prioritizing and delivering on complex projects with tight deadlines. The primary responsibility of this position is to lead the creation of features, elements, sponsored vignettes and other supportive marketing segments. The Senior Editor will also be involved in remote and news gathering productions including eng on live and specialty shoots for CBS Sports.
Edit and Produce a variety of short and long-form projects including digital broadcast and VOD programming.
Lead Editor on a variety of short-form projects including promos for cross-channel broadcast partners, VOD and Social, and sizzle reels of various needs - sales and educational tools, and the live events.
Create animated graphics for use in advertising, sizzle reels, post-produced and live programming.
Assist in the development of new programming concepts.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum 7 years of daily experience with AVID, Premiere and Final Cut Pro non-linear editing systems. Preferably in a sports environment.
Fluency in After Effects and Photoshop graphics programs.
Experience with 3D animation a plus.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing with individuals in all levels of the organization, but particularly with members of the highest level of the organization.
Outstanding organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work autonomously.
Ability to maintain discretion and confidential information.
News promotional experience desired, but not necessary.
Demonstrated creative ability.
Ability to work fluently with Mac and Windows PC workstations.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook and ability to learn other basic computer programs.
Knowledge of Sports a plus.
Must successfully pass a background check.
