SportsRadio 610 (KILT-AM) Houston is searching for a producer for our afternoon show. Candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of experience producing a radio show and operating a radio control board. Candidate must be able to see opportunities to be creative and take ideas and topics a step farther than just doing the norm. The right person will be able to create and grow relationships to convert guests into "friends of the show". Need to generate ideas, be creative and at the same time be focused to run a tight board and maintain the station log. Candidate needs to take direction and coaching, while being proactive. Experience with Audiovault, Wordpress, SoundForge or other comparable software required. Must be computer literate; hard working; driven to win; have the ability to prioritize. Knowledge of the station format & audience essential.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Scheduling guests and live interviews.
Researching broadcast topics.
Protecting the station’s FCC license.
Contributing to social networking and website updates.
Providing creative input on broadcast elements.
Operating broadcast board.
Compiling "best ofs" and other edited material as necessary.
Other duties as required by management.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and/or fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
