CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. Among its stations are WCBS-TV and WLNY-TV (New York), KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV (Los Angeles), WBBM-TV (Chicago), KYW-TV and WPSG-TV (Philadelphia), KTVT-TV and KTXA-TV (Dallas-Ft. Worth), KPIX-TV and KBCW-TV (San Francisco), WBZ-TV and WSBK-TV (Boston), WUPA-TV (Atlanta), WWJ-TV and WKBD-TV (Detroit), KSTW-TV (Seattle), WTOG-TV (Tampa-St. Petersburg), WCCO-TV (Minneapolis), KCNC-TV (Denver), WFOR-TV and WBFS-TV (Miami), KOVR-TV and KMAX-TV (Sacramento), KDKA-TV and WPCW-TV (Pittsburgh), WJZ-TV (Baltimore), as well as WCCO-TV’s satellite stations KCCO-TV (Alexandria, Minn.) and KCCW-TV (Walker, Minn.).


This ideal candidate will be highly involved at every stage of the story production process including collaborating with producers, reporters and photographers to make every story a potential award winning one.

Skills & Responsibilities:

Proficient in Final Cut Pro, Grass Valley Aurora NLE system, FTP, AfterEffects and posting video on the web.

Function as a newsroom leader, must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, take part in training and mentoring new editors, work well with others in a sometimes stressful environment. Excellent problem solving skills

Flexibility to work early morning, late evenings, weekends and holiday is required

Videography experience required

Conduct independent research in new technologies and provide efficient solutions for story production

Strong organizational, creative and scheduling skills

Innovate and generate creative ways towards the process of pitching and presenting stories



  • BS Degree or equivalent combination of education & combination of 3 years experience in editing.

  • Must possess expert knowledge of Final Cut Pro (incl. Motion) and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Trouble shooting and technical skills are a plus.

  • Must have a working knowledge of delivering content for all platforms of new media.

  • Basic office computing skills, Microsoft Word, etc.
