CBS Local Digital Media provides undergrad/graduate student’s a hands-on, work experience through a structured internship program. Students are encouraged to observe and participate in a professional work environment and explore CBS Local’s day-to-day operations. Through this internship program, students gain valuable skills and knowledge that will be applied in their future careers. CBS fosters an environment where learning is contagious.
The CBS Local Digital Media Group is looking for an intern to assist and support the Integrated Marketing Department. This position will be based in New York and will report to the Director of Integrated Marketing and the Integrated Marketing Manager.
The ideal candidate will:
Assist in crafting the messaging and positioning for CBS Local’s ad sales marketing materials
Provide weekly in-depth marketing competitor analysis
Research industry best practices and techniques to continuously look for new ways to improve CBS Local’s ad sales marketing efforts and offerings
Support the day -to- day work; which will include, but is not limited to development of sales materials, internal guidelines, as well as general administrative tasks for the team
Prior experience in a professional environment, namely in Marketing, Communications and/or Sales related fields
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Must work well in a fast paced team environment and prioritize multiple projects
Ability to take direction, constructive criticism and work with other team members
