We are seeking an exceptional Associate Analyst to join our core BI team that uses data and analyses to drive high impact business and product decisions for the world’s #1 broadcast network online, CBS Entertainment Digital. Perform in-depth statistical/quantitative/clustering analyses, data mining, mathematical modeling, experimentation (A/B and multivariate tests), optimization and predictive analytics to help deepen understanding of our audience, content and product offering across all platforms and business models. Leverage that data to grow the business, deliver personalized product and advertising experiences.
Effectively communicate and ‘translate’ quantitative findings (storytelling with data), make and defend meaningful conclusions and recommendations to inform product decisions, identify and interpret trends and relationships to product and business stakeholders
Build, improve, and maintain reports, dashboards, and tracking metrics to monitor the performance of our products
Manage development of data resources, gather requirements, organize sources, and support product launches
Leverage technology to create visualizations to make data easily accessible across the organization; educate colleagues on cutting-edge trends and industry developments
Contribute to the enhancement of the overall Business Intelligence team by participating in group events, developing and sharing knowledge, and helping to cultivate a continuous learning and supportive esprit-de-corps
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field; Masters a plus
Relevant past internship or working experience
Excellent statistical intuition, application, and knowledge of various analytical approaches
Extensive experience querying and mining large, complex, and raw data sets in Teradata (or Hadoop) databases
Proficient in advanced SQL and with statistical software (preferably R)
Experience with video/web analytics and tools (Omniture, Tableau)
Strong detail-orientation with a penchant for data accuracy
Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to create and deliver findings, presentations and reports to stakeholders
Experience in Python or Java is a plus
Build strong working relationships with coworkers, customers, and company management
Must successfully pass a background check
