DESCRIPTION:

The Subscription Marketing Coordinator will assist in the development and execution of marketing and advertising initiatives that drive customer acquisition and revenue for SHOWTIME. The coordinator will support strategic priorities that achieve business goals for the SHOWTIME streaming service and other digital platforms, and will work seamlessly across owned, paid and earned media channels, as well as distributor and retail partnership campaigns. The ideal candidate has a background in digital marketing and paid media, has a familiarity with marketing analytics and has strong project management skills. The candidate will work with various internal departments including Consumer Marketing, Distributor Marketing, Media, Promotions, Sales, Digital Services, Creative Services, Product Management, PR, Research, Data Strategy, Law and Business Affairs and act as a liaison with external media and creative agencies. This position reports to the Director of Subscription Marketing.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Help plan direct to consumer and partner marketing campaigns to grow awareness, consideration, trial and conversion of new subscribers across all channels and touchpoints, and collaborate with key marketing stakeholders on retention, renewal and upsell tactics.

  • Help identify target audience segments and effective marketing communications to produce creative for all ad platforms including TV and Digital (display, mobile, social, video, SEM/SEO), ensure the proper approvals are obtained and tactics adhere to Showtime and partner brand guidelines and standards.

  • Maintain and manage updates for customer acquisition destinations including websites, app stores and on-device paywalls.

  • Work closely with Showtime Key Account Marketing and Sales teams (cable, satellite, telco and streaming distributors) to ideate and develop turn-key and customized campaigns that promote Showtime products and programming, and achieve subscriber and revenue goals.

  • Support multiplatform marketing activities, including development and delivery of customized marketing assets across various consumer touchpoints (ex. Showtime products, distributor TV VOD and TVE apps/websites, social networks).

  • Support strategic partnerships with app store and consumer electronics companies (Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, Samsung, etc.) and other retailers (ex. wireless carriers, airlines) to promote the Showtime brand, products and programming.

  • Support revenue driving initiatives including discounting/promotional offer strategies, gifting and referral programs.

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure all subscriber and growth marketing campaigns are flawlessly planned and executed, establishing technical requirements, trafficking creative and verifying implementation as needed.

  • Plan A/B tests to optimize marketing and maintain prioritization roadmap matrix.

  • Help analyze performance of consumer and partner marketing activities, create detailed reports and make campaign recommendations that improve operational efficiencies, decrease costs and strengthen go-to-market executions.

  • Aid in drafting marketing strategy briefs and communication one-sheets for internal, agency and partner contacts.

  • Perform business and competitive analysis, assist with marketing research, keep a digital archive of marketing campaigns, and track and report on key industry trends.

  • Help lead weekly department planning meeting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years of customer acquisition and/or digital marketing, audience development or related experience, preferably in entertainment, media, publishing, retail/eCommerce and/or a subscription-based business.

  • Digital media and advertising experience, with a working understanding of various digital ad units across all digital platforms

  • Experienced in managing workflows and timelines of creative marketing asset development for distribution across multiple channels (television, digital, print, OOH).

  • Knowledge of drafting creative and marketing campaign briefs.

  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Detailed-oriented problem-solver with an ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledgeable, proactive and passionate marketer who keeps up with the latest digital practices and market trends.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Keynote a plus.

  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Omniture, Google Analytics and understanding of tag management systems a plus.
