DESCRIPTION:

CBS Interactive is looking for a Financial Analyst to join their Financial Planning & Analysis team in New York, NY.

The Financial Analyst will primarily support the Entertainment division of CBS Interactive, including CBS.com and All Access, our premium subscription product. As part of an aligned FP&A team, the Financial Analyst will report directly into the Sr. Director, FP&A and will assist in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of forecasts and budgets, tracking performance, managing monthly operating expenses, and using analysis to assist in driving informed decision making. In addition, the Financial Analyst will also support the Sr. Director of FP&A on all central reporting functions across the CBS Brands within CBS Interactive.

This position offers the right candidate an excellent opportunity within a successful and growing global media organization. It will provide wide ranging exposure to the evolving interactive content industry while working within the broader media umbrella of CBS Corporation.

Responsibilities:

Business modeling. Build and maintain brand level capacity models, working with the Business Intelligence and Yield Management teams to source user, customer and monetization data for both the CBS.com and All Access businesses.

Budgeting/Forecasting. Work on business models to manage forecasting of the monthly P&L and drive the annual budget and financial plans of each brand.

Reconciliation and variance analysis of forecast to actual results. Work with Accounting in preparation for monthly close and analysis of results versus forecast/budget.

Manage all accruals, contracts and invoices for Entertainment business

Revenue management for specific lines of the Entertainment business, including Apps and the download to own business

Expense management, risk analysis and mitigation. Actively monitor expense levers and cost controls required to maintain profitability and achieve budgeted profit targets.

Other ad hoc requests and analyses.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 3 years experience in FP&A, finance or equivalent quantitative roles.

Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in business, finance or accounting).

Financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and analysis knowledge.

Possess a high level of integrity and sensitivity to confidential information.

Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Enthusiastic self-starter with an ambition to grow through the role.

Must successfully pass a background check.
