The Marketing Assistant will perform administrative duties for the SVP and marketing department. The Assistant will learn research databases used to prepare background data and sales stories for advertising client presentations. This is an entry level, quantitative/research position with potential for growth.
Manage the office (phones, time sheets/payroll, ordering supplies, mail, etc.)
Manage all A/P procedures and invoices
Assist in the preparation and distribution of reports and other materials
Assist the Director of Competitive Spending in the preparation of Kantar spending reports, internet searches, etc.
Assist in the preparation of projects
Interface with the Sales department and other corporate areas: Finance, Print Shop, etc.
Relevant internship/work experience in marketing, sales and/or research
Advanced knowledge of Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint and the Internet
Interest in television industry and market/sales research
Strong ability and keen interest in working with numbers and analyzing data
Highly organized and detail oriented
Desire to learn on-line and syndicated research databases related to the industry
Possess excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple assignments
Four year college degree highly preferred
Previous administrative experience in a corporate environment highly preferred (will consider internship experience)
