DESCRIPTION:

TITLE: Part-Time Phone Screener/Production Assistant

HOURS: 20 Hours/Week. Mon-Fri, 6:00am-9:00am and 1 hour prep time (show is live 7am-9am)

LOCATION: Midtown, NY

The Digital Audio Producer / Board Operator will be responsible for live audio of The Taz Show, a daily Sports Radio talk show with the former WWE World Champion and sports commentator, Taz.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Pre-Production

  • Collaborates in the production of programs, promos and specials.

  • Researches topics and themes to write scripts, line copy, and develop show content for hosts.

  • Develops novel and creative ways to present content.

  • Attends creative meetings, and contributes to the selection of program content.

  • Makes recommendations to producers and management on program improvements.

  • Obtains audio materials needed for production.

  • Assists with scheduling program elements prior to air, ensuring that rotation and policies are followed.

  • Enters clip information, music and non-music elements into audio software.

  • Works with talent and producers on following programming clocks so that all content and advertisements are featured as planned.

  • Assist producers with call screening as requested.

Post-Production

  • Reviews work products with supervisor.

  • Monitors assigned channels for quality control and reports content error and technical issues to the appropriate individuals for correction.

  • Maintains database of program content for archival use.

  • Assist Producers with entering "On Demand" content as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

'- MUST BE PASSIONATE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT WRESTLING - Smart, reliable, can-do person that's able to deliver under pressure

  • Experience with audio recording and editing software like Pro Tools- Strong multitasking skills with an attention to detail are a must- Knowledge of radio announcing and basic digital audio production- Experience/comfort talking on air
