This position supports the consumer products business for Showtime and CBS including daily supervision and marketing of the e-commerce stores, licensed product development and merchandise related promotions that create fan engagement for the networks. Position assists in the marketing of Showtime original series on EST platforms (iTunes, Amazon Instant Video etc.), the development of merchandise for promotional needs throughout the company and the maintenance of the accompanying online store, SHOSwag.
Support the day-to-day management of ecommerce vendor to maintain both Showtime and CBS stores.
Perform daily quality control of both stores.
Assist in the development of concepts and ideas for new products and source new products directly with promotional product vendors where needed.
Brainstorm marketing and production assets to develop and promote new merchandise.
Monitor results of promotions, traffic sources, item sales, category sales, etc.
Open jobs with Creative Services/CBS Consumer Products Creative to create additional assets, themes, and concepts to be used for merchandise.
Route new merchandise and promotions through legal, business affairs, and EVP approvals.
Liaison between Merchandising group and Digital Services & Social Teams
Supervise social media merchandise promotions. Create editorial content calendars and assist in the selection of merchandise and licensed product to feature.
Coordinate with social media managers at CBS & SHO to brief in creative images, write copy and then schedule various posts on social networks - Facebook & Twitter (Hootsuite).
Assist with merchandise and key licensed promotions for series pages on SHO.com and CBS.com. Get assets and copy created for site promos, carousel panels, etc.
Include merchandise in email marketing efforts and create dedicated merchandise email campaigns.
Assist on special projects such as sweepstakes, fan art contests and auctions that require integration with digital services to be successful.
Licensed Showtime Merchandise
Gather assets for licensees to create products. Monitor use of assets to maintain proper brand likeness and use messaging that is in line with Showtime marketing and branding.
Route high-level concepts, artwork, use of branding, use of talent likeness, and final products through legal, business affairs, and EVP approvals.
Review and approve all formal licensee submissions in online routing tool - CTI.
Assist licensee partners with marketing plans for product launches and incorporate merchandise into other Showtime & CBS marketing efforts and events.
Support CBS Consumer Products, who is acting as the Showtime licensing agency, on style guides, licensee outreach, marketing and PR efforts for licensed product.
Communicate with vendor on production schedule of licensed product for marketing & promo planning.
Support the daily development of any digital licensed opportunities - mobile, social or video games
Support opportunities to leverage licensed products with additional partners
Assist with the seasonal marketing plans for all electronic sell-through launches throughout the year.
Contribute to creative & media plans for launch tactics planned.
Help to manage marketing tactics from brief through delivery, including post campaign wrap-up & analysis
Work with the media, social & digital teams on integrated planning.
Assist with competitive reviews (promotional windows, pre-orders, marketing, etc) and chart tracking to optimize future EST launches.
SHOSWAG Site Management
Supervise new site features for the SWAG site; work with the development teams to launch changes and features to enhance the user experience; QC new features for rollout.
Assist with the daily management of the SWAG site by merchandising product, sourcing new product and reordering existing new product.
QC new features for rollout.
Assist with invoicing and vendor management.
3-5 years of experience in the following areas:
Marketing and/or merchandising, with emphasis on merchandise development and licensing
Developing promotional and/or marketing communications
Social Media Marketing and asset creation
Project management experience and proven ability to work with partners and/or creative and production resources.
Current with social media, e-commerce and digital marketing trends, including gaming and new technology.
Ability to manage the creation and execution of effective marketing tactics.
Ability to concept and implement merchandise that builds or enhances brand awareness and builds fan loyalty and engagement.
Ability to manage projects that involve multiple departments and business partners.
Excellent creative judgment.
Current with retail and merchandise trends.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and problem solving ability.
Must be self-motivated and flexible.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint/Keynote, JIRA, Google Analytics & Photoshop.
