The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is immediately seeking a topical researcher, with a concentration on social media, for the show’s editorial departments.
Tracking social media for trends, breaking news, current events and all things pop culture, then curating that info for the editorial/writing team.
Identifying, understanding and explaining trends as seen in a wide variety of social media outlets — the obvious ones and those that are under-the-radar.
Understanding what works for our show and does not, identifying what might work for us even if it's outside our norm and then having the ability to explain why we should pay attention.
Three years of television production, journalism, academic research or equivalent.
Acute attention to detail.
Keen interest in all genre of news - political, entertainment/pop culture, domestic, international.
Familiarity with Nexis a plus.
