The Training Specialist collaborates with all business units to help develop learning solutions designed to meet business objectives. They will perform needs assessments to determine training requirements that support business objectives and address gaps in employee skills and knowledge. In the role you will also help develop training materials, administer training programs, evaluate effectiveness of training against program objectives and provide recommendations for improvement. The Training Specialist will also administer the CBS Learning Management System (aka CBS EYE Learn) and related online tools and resources including developing and launching courses, reporting on training utilization, manage workflow for sign-ups and reminders for workshops, market and advertise upcoming training classes, etc. You will also help manage relationships with all third party vendors related to training including online partners as well as partners who help deliver workshops and classes across the company.
Help liaison with Division HR and local HR teams to assess training needs, source potential vendors / solutions, coordinate activities, communicate upcoming programs, etc.
Manage CBS EYE Learn including uploading and launching new courses, administer existing training campaigns, create individual learning paths for participants, manage user sign-ups, run reports, track metrics by Division, and coordinate with our IS&T and HRIS groups.
Manage activities related to marketing and advertising upcoming workshops and events including email communication to participants, marketing campaigns on our intranet, and using social media to get the word out.
Manage relationships with external partners to order materials, schedule workshops and classes, and provide on-site support during days when they are at CBS.
Prepare and distribute training aids such as instructional material, handouts, evaluation forms; help schedule and set up AV and room for workshops.
Schedule classrooms and arrange for the physical setup - working with outside vendors, facilities, BlackRock Media, and communications.
Communicate with trainees / managers before, during, and after workshops including pre-work, distributing materials, and follow-up including evaluations, continued reading, etc.
Help create content for new training programs including Power Point, Brainshark videos, research, webinars, etc.
Administers the CBS Speaker Series program including finding/arranging for speakers, marketing and communication of events, conducting introductions and managing Q&A during events, etc.
