CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. Among its stations are WCBS-TV and WLNY-TV (New York), KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV (Los Angeles), WBBM-TV (Chicago), KYW-TV and WPSG-TV (Philadelphia), KTVT-TV and KTXA-TV (Dallas-Ft. Worth), KPIX-TV and KBCW-TV (San Francisco), WBZ-TV and WSBK-TV (Boston), WUPA-TV (Atlanta), WWJ-TV and WKBD-TV (Detroit), KSTW-TV (Seattle), WTOG-TV (Tampa-St. Petersburg), WCCO-TV (Minneapolis), KCNC-TV (Denver), WFOR-TV and WBFS-TV (Miami), KOVR-TV and KMAX-TV (Sacramento), KDKA-TV and WPCW-TV (Pittsburgh), WJZ-TV (Baltimore), as well as WCCO-TV’s satellite stations KCCO-TV (Alexandria, Minn.) and KCCW-TV (Walker, Minn.).
CBS Television Stations has an immediate opening for a Senior Schedule Specialist to work daily with Traffic Management Team.
Responsible for managing, revising and programming schedules by creating templates that maximize commercial inventory and ensure quality of on-air look. Work with Hub management and station’s Master Controls to align formats for proper airing of commercial breaks. Coordinate with distributors’ episode numbers, timings and other ongoing communication. Assist and train schedule specialist in creating format standards for network, syndicated and local programming. Maintain Inventory Codes and proper scheduling times for each stations Inventory Code tree and verify schedules from stations for accurate programming information for on-air broadcast. Accurately maintain several multiplatform schedules in the traffic system, keep complete and accurate Format Grids in WO and other duties as assigned by the traffic hub management.
Must be detail-oriented, organized and able to meet deadlines.
Must be accurate and able to work well under pressure.
Must have strong understanding of broadcast traffic operations and programming.
Will have responsibilities for assigned TV Stations and additional digital channels.
Familiarity with broadcast traffic software.
Minimum of two years experience from a Traffic Hub Environment.
Experience working in Broadcast Traffic or Sales Service department preferred.
Knowledge of WideOrbit.
