CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. DESCRIPTION:

KCBS2/KCAL9 TV, the CBS Owned & Operated Duopoly in Los Angeles, is seeking an experienced Account Executive. We are looking for someone who can sell the Stations’ commercial inventory to advertising agencies, retailers, manufacturers and distributors, and effectively market the station to current and potential clients.

This position will:

  • Produce sales equal to or exceeding established budgets

  • Develop both new and existing accounts to air on KCBS or KCAL television, or on duopoly website

  • Develop presentations through research-generated information

  • Represent Stations to clients and potential clients in a professional manner

  • Continually prospect, develop and maintain new accounts

  • Develop new ways to cold call or network for leads

  • Communicate daily with Sales Management on all activities

  • Keep current with all administrative duties

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

Candidates must have:

  • Three years TV, Radio, Cable, Print or Online sales experience

  • Proven track record of past selling skills

  • Working knowledge of other industries

  • Strong marketing, presentation and closing skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Valid California driver’s license

Preferred:

Candidate must be a team player, detail oriented and able to handle multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment.
