CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. Among its stations are WCBS-TV and WLNY-TV (New York), KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV (Los Angeles), WBBM-TV (Chicago), KYW-TV and WPSG-TV (Philadelphia), KTVT-TV and KTXA-TV (Dallas-Ft. WBZ, a CBS O&O media company in Boston, is looking for a creative content producer/editor to produce and manage development of lifestyle content. We are looking for a producer who can create differentiated, brand compliant content in both a half hour show format as well as shorter, packaged content to be distributed across all of CBS Boston’s distribution platforms. This person will have a passion for local storytelling and ability to seek out and develop content across a multitude of different categories including pop culture, home design and improvements, cooking and restaurants, music, as well as shining a light on local people, places and events that are uniquely New England.

We are looking for a collaborative creative thinker who can manage other producers, internal and external production crews and editors to oversee the final product. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality who can work alongside our dedicated sales staff and help communicate well with clients for sponsorship and integration opportunities.

Responsibilities will also consist of developing additional long-form content for initiatives including New England Patriots football, Boston Marathon and other general community storytelling.


  • Develop brand-compliant lifestyle content for both broadcast and digital, including writing, producing and directing production resources

  • Lead production team including producers, photographers, designers, editors and talent

  • Manage budget and production resources.

  • Collaborate with sales staff in development and execution of sponsor-driven, integrated content

  • Oversee promotional strategy in social spaces.

  • Assist in additional content development



  • Minimum 7+ years of experience as a producer. Former show production experience is a plus.

  • High-level of creativity in both short and long-form content development

  • Ability to produce and direct for on-location production

  • Passion for local storytelling and lifestyle content

  • Ability to work well in collaborative environment

  • Flexible and able to work on multiple projects at a time while adhering to timelines.

  • Potential for limited travel across New England

  • Knowledgeable and engaged in social and digital distribution
