Brand/Division Overview:

Entertainment Tonight is launching an interactive streaming news network delivering celebrity, pop culture and lifestyle content and premium video. It will be available live and on-demand 24/7 via our app, on OTT, desktop, mobile and across social platforms. We strive to have our original reporting and exclusive access drive the conversation.

Role Details:

We are building innovative new production and distribution systems and need to develop a small staff of hybrid technical associates to make it all work. The role requires juggling multiple tasks, including media management/editing (in an Interplay environment) and operating production playout systems under deadline. This can be an entry-level position, and we will train the right candidate on the systems we need them to operate. What’s most important is that candidates be digitally-inclined and have an aptitude for embracing new technologies.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Operate video management playout system, monitor and troubleshoot hourly rundowns for live and automated shows

  • Edit live shows within our programming software for playback

  • Coordinate with Control Room to sync rundown times and commercial breaks

  • Manage and organize media, including metadata tagging and archiving/restoring

  • Oversee Ingest and govern server space

QUALIFICATIONS:

What you bring to the team

  • Experience with media management systems including Avid Interplay

  • Familiarity with OTT platforms

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed, including event coverage

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

You might also have -

  • Knowledge of CMS publishing and web production

  • History creating original content based upon breaking news, social memes and trends

  • Familiarity with iNews/Media Central or other rundown system

  • Understanding of SEO and similar content production best practices
