The Guide (guide.com) is a small team focused on building a content commerce brand from the ground up. In this role, our intern will create a social media strategy to increase traffic to our site.
As an integral part of our small team, the intern will also attend and contribute to "pitch meetings" where we discuss and come up with content ideas.
Review our current social media efforts, baseline against competition
Come up with a social media strategy and plan that will increase referrals to guide.com
Present and obtain buy in
In developing a strategy, the intern will test ideas on our social channels.
Time commitment: full-time, 40 hours per week during our regular office hours (Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm) but times may vary per team
This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines
Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, English or related field
Understanding of publishing on all major social media platforms such as (but not limited to) Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube
Experience creating branded social media content
Detail-oriented, self-motivated and proactive work ethic
Ability to work against tight deadlines
Intern must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
Must be at least 18 years old
