The CBS Television Distribution (CTD) group at CBS Interactive creates video content for CBS’ for first-run television syndication brands including Entertainment Tonight, Inside Edition, Rachael Ray, Dr. Phil, and The Doctors.
CTD’s YouTube channels recieved 3.68 Billion video views in 2017, with a portfolio that includes YouTube’s #1 News & Politics channel. We need a YouTube Specialist to help continue our growth and expansion on the platform with both existing and original productions for Entertainment Tonight, Inside Edition, Dr. Phil, The Rachael Ray Show, and others with thoughtful and platform specific optimization and initiatives.
Use internal VMS to direct videos to their corresponding YouTube channels
SEO optimization for videos published to YouTube
Create eye catching thumbnails for videos published to YouTube following each specific brands guidelines
Maintain a publishing calendar and schedule videos on YouTube
Apply unique platform features to all videos (Cards, End-Screens, Community Tab, Playlists)
Submit and maintain references and exclusions in Content ID
Support social teams with live productions streamed on YouTube
Work closely with YouTube Senior Producer on day to day operation and optimization of CTD’s YouTube channels
Collect and present actionable data to brand stakeholders to support future digital original productions and verticals
Increase scope of CTD Content ID efforts
What you bring to the team:
You have -
4+ years of experience in online publishing/digital media with data analysis as a component of the work
Proficiency in YouTube, YouTube Video Manager, and YouTube Analytics
Ability to provide accurate information in a usable form and on a timely basis.
Video production experience
Adept with multimedia editing tools (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Media Encoder)
You might also have -
SEO and metadata management experience
Experience with entertainment news, and news publishers
Knowledge of YouTube and Social Media Video landscape (influencers, trends, etc)
