CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. Among its stations are WCBS-TV and WLNY-TV (New York), KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV (Los Angeles), WBBM-TV (Chicago), KYW-TV and WPSG-TV (Philadelphia), KTVT-TV and KTXA-TV (Dallas-Ft. Worth), KPIX-TV and KBCW-TV (San Francisco), WBZ-TV and WSBK-TV (Boston), WUPA-TV (Atlanta), WWJ-TV and WKBD-TV (Detroit), KSTW-TV (Seattle), WTOG-TV (Tampa-St. Petersburg), WCCO-TV (Minneapolis), KCNC-TV (Denver), WFOR-TV and WBFS-TV (Miami), KOVR-TV and KMAX-TV (Sacramento), KDKA-TV and WPCW-TV (Pittsburgh), WJZ-TV (Baltimore), as well as WCCO-TV’s satellite stations KCCO-TV (Alexandria, Minn.) and KCCW-TV (Walker, Minn.).


CBS Television Dallas (KTVT/KTXA) is looking for a disciplined and hardworking Inventory Coordinator. Candidate will work with the Traffic Operation Center, Sales Management, and Account Executives, National Reps, and Agencies to maximize revenue by assisting with avails and ensuring efficient use of inventory. The Inventory Coordinator works within established guidelines to maximize station revenue opportunities by correcting issues with advertiser/order separation, incorrect inventory and break codes and program name mismatches. The inventory Coordinator will also preempt and make good spots from oversold time periods and manage spot movement for inventory front loading that crosses broadcast sales weeks. Must be able to prioritize and juggle several projects simultaneously without losing quality.


  • Monitor and correct issues with advertiser/order separation, inventory and break codes and program name mismatches within Wide Orbit

  • Monetize revenue by ensuring efficient use of inventory

  • Maintain awareness of the most current traffic policies, practices and procedures

  • Assist and backup sales management with national avails

  • Prepare forms and reports as required

  • Assist with National/Local sales duties

  • Backup for Sales Assistant

  • Other duties as assigned



  • Must be able to interact with clients, account executives, management and interdepartmentally, with poise and professionalism

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a media traffic and/or sales assistant role

  • Experience with Wide Orbit traffic software preferred

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (including Excel, Word and Power Point)

  • Solid communication skills, both oral and written, with a strong attention to detail

  • Proficiency with computers, copiers, scanners, and other office equipment
