The streaming and live video operations team is an enthusiastic group leading the future of streaming media and video technology. Through our recent partnership with Sidearm Sports, we are responsible for managing and streaming over 25,000 live sports events per year. In addition, we serve a diverse blend of brands including Michigan State, South Carolina, Virginia, DeLa Salle High School, IMG Academy, Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association, PGA TOUR, Boxing and Combat Sports to support their live streaming efforts.
We are looking for a Streaming & Video Operations Manager to join the video team to manage our live streaming and video operations client team. This is a dynamic role that needs a hands-on, proactive representative. The right candidate will be able to spend time talking to our clients about the best practices for streaming live events, monitoring those live events, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise. You will also be asked to assist in explaining our production needs to vendors and other internal engineering teams. Our product portfolio ranges from the full spectrum of collegiate athletics to live CBS Sports events. We need a specialist who can quickly understand the technical challenges of each.
Manage and monitor upwards of 100 live streaming events simultaneously, usually on weekends and in the evenings
Troubleshoot live audio and video streaming events in collaboration with clients and vendors, including Internet and firewall connectivity issues, encoding issues, media player issues to ensure that streams are delivered to consumers.
Oversee signal acquisition, including fiber, IP connections, coupler, and satellite; Configure streaming profiles based on partner site’s specifications
Provide technical direction for clients who are self-encoding live events and serve as a technical point of contact during live events
Serve as the champion for resources, tools, and enhancements needed to more effectively support the platform; develop technical requirements and specs and work closely with our engineering team to shepherd projects to completion
Train new clients on our video workflow as our client portfolio continues to expand
Take operational ownership of the SportsLive subscription video platform streaming 25,000 live events per year plus a significant volume of on-demand content
Serve as primary point person for all assigned client account needs; establish and maintain trust and credibility with clients, team members, and vendors by quickly responding to their needs, always following through and delivering quality work
Keep our products and video players updated with industry leading technologies by working closely with engineering teams to test and launch new features

What you bring to the team:
You have -
At least 5 years of relevant work experience in live video streaming
Advanced knowledge of video/audio technologies and infrastructure, including but not limited to encoding, CDNs, HLS streaming, RTMP, PSP, dynamic ad insertion, and quality of service reporting tools
Comfortable with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues affecting partner schools and clients under pressure while maintaining balance and focus in stressful situations
Can communicate clearly and effectively with clients and partners as well as internal technical teams
Presents a positive, approachable and professional manner; demonstrates a willingness to work with team members, clients and vendors to meet their needs
Willingness to work flexible hours to support events on weekends and in the evenings
Must be a self-starter who can work with limited supervision
Demonstrated experience leading and coaching team members to perform at a higher level
