Showtime’s Digital Media department is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join the Digital Marketing Analytics & Optimization team in New York. S/he should have experience working with large and disparate data sets with an eye towards developing them into actionable insights toward the goals of optimizing marketing effectiveness and ROI for Showtime.

The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative and partner closely with Showtime’s Subscription Marketing, CRM, Distributor Marketing, Research and Data Science teams, as well as Media, Product Management, A/B Testing, and other groups, to provide analyses and reporting in support of the network’s Acquisition and Retention goals. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Digital Marketing Analytics.


  • Work with marketing stakeholders to understand business objectives, define key performance indicators based on those objectives, and provide relevant data, including analysis and insights regarding subscriber acquisition and lifecycle marketing efforts across paid, owned and earned channels

  • Maintain and distribute monthly and quarterly reports monitoring the performance of the SHOWTIME marketing website in addition to other marketing campaigns and efforts

  • Utilize strong creative and analytical skills to compile and process data, tell a story and draw actionable conclusions that inform and drive decision making for marketing and optimization

  • Provide organic search query monitoring and analysis, including the creation of regular topline reporting and more granular analysis of daily, hourly, and other trends

  • Evaluate and monitor new site features that affect SEO (season pages, gift card page, etc.) and synthesize marketing and product data from search console reports

  • Support various digital media teams including acquisition and CRM with actionable insights via dashboards, analysis and ad hoc reporting requests

  • Help to identify marketing KPIs, estimate expected value and assess marketing performance of national/targeted subscription offers, direct/retail initiatives and upsell opportunities

  • Support the evaluation of test and learn initiatives across the marketing group, including hypothesis development, test design, and post-test analysis

  • Manage and maintain documentation and insight sharing system for collecting and memorializing data-driven reporting from within and outside the team

  • Contribute to Digital Media specific research projects and help collaborate with Research and Distributor Marketing to uncover new customer insights and targeted marketing opportunities


  • Candidates should have proven experience analyzing, interpreting and presenting data to help provide informed recommendations for marketing executives and functional stakeholders

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, including ability to distill and relay data to a variety of audiences, including senior executives

  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills, with ability to multi-task changing priorities, projects and deadlines

  • Advanced skill with Excel (e.g., pivot tables, macros, VBA)

  • Able to create and present near-executive ready slides in Power Point / Keynote

  • Must be detail-oriented and focused on data accuracy - with proactive problem solving skills

  • Independent self-starter who embraces a team-oriented and collaborative approach

  • Eager to learn new technologies and drive innovation

  • College degree and equivalent work experience

Additional Qualifications (preferred but not required)

  • Experience working with major web analytics platforms like Adobe Analytics (Omniture) and Google Analytics

  • Digital media or subscription related experience

  • Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization and business intelligence tools

  • Understanding of optimization processes and multivariate testing results

  • Beginner-level SQL knowledge
