DESCRIPTION:

Showtime’s Research department is seeking an Analyst with Adobe analytics experience. This position will analyze and report on key performance indicators and viewership metrics with the goal of educating stakeholders so that they can make informed decisions.

The primary responsibility of this role is to leverage all available data to derive insights related to subscribers and their viewing behavior on SHOWTIME, primarily through our stand-alone OTT streaming service and TVE (Showtime Anytime), but also through third party distribution partners (Amazon, Hulu, etc.). To uncover these insights, the Analyst must be able to use Adobe Analytics/Omniture reporting tools, and ideally have a strong command of Tableau. The Analyst will serve as an integral member of a small team where collaboration is key. This position will report to the VP of Research and work with a variety of teams across SHO, including but not limited to Research, Data Strategy, Product Development, Scheduling, Marketing, and Sales.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Build, improve, and maintain reports, dashboards, and tracking metrics to monitor the performance of our apps and programs to help inform cross-functional stakeholders

  • Work with stakeholders to understand business objectives, define key performance indicators based on those objectives, and provide relevant data, including analysis and insights

  • Utilize strong analytical skills to compile and process data, tell a story and draw actionable conclusions that drive programming and development decisions

  • Provide ad-hoc data analysis under tight deadlines as required

  • Coordinate and stay informed of all new programming and product developments that may impact performance

  • Regularly assemble data from various disparate sources into consolidated reports/dashboards

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates must have proven experience in analyzing, interpreting and presenting data

  • 2+ years of work experience in Research, Analytics or similar type role

  • 2+ years of experience using Omniture/Adobe Analytics (ideally having experience with mobile and connected tv apps)- familiarity with workspace/ report builder

  • Preferred experience with Tableau or other data visualization products

  • Media or subscription related experience preferred but not required

  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, vlookup, etc.)

  • Ability to both create and deliver PowerPoint Presentations

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate to all levels of the organization

  • Ability to think creatively and tell meaningful, actionable stories with data

  • Capacity to manage concurrent projects and tasks in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines

  • Must be detail-oriented and focused on data accuracy - with proactive problem solving skills

  • Independent self-starter who embraces a team-oriented and collaborative approach
