Opportunity to work within the CBS department responsible for the distribution of signals within the CBS Broadcast Center, and the program feeds to all CBS Affiliate Stations. The area involved is the CBS Transmission Center, a 24x7 operational facility where video and audio signals are switched, processed, routed, and monitored. There are several on-going engineering projects and systems under development that an intern can be involved in, supporting the Engineering and Operations staff.
The intern will be expected to contribute toward creative solutions in the design process.
During the course of the program the intern will be working on documentation and testing new video routers, video compression and fiber optic transport hardware.
Current college program in Engineering (Electrical preferred), or a Media/Communications program with heavy emphasis on the technology of television. Will consider those in an IT/Computer Science discipline as well.
