The MPD Intern will spend the summer within a hands-on environment, learning how metadata drives the multimedia playback experience across a multitude of video delivery platforms. The candidate will also learn how CBS leverages publication-subscription models to drive cloud-based orchestration of media workflows within Amazon Web Services. AWS concepts, such as EC2, SNS, SQS, DynamoDb will be incorporated into the program as well as business best practices for media object tagging, security, and cost optimization.

  • Focus on the metadata maintenance and quality assurance of incoming assets for global distribution platforms

  • Curate incoming assets to automate the assets’ lifecycles as well as maximize the assets’ value for present and future business use cases

  • Maintain guidelines and procedures for consistent content organization, tag management, and metadata governance with a Cloud-based environment

  • Assist in the testing, creation and implementation of guidelines and procedures for content tagging opportunities to support future business requirements

  • Continual focus to optimize and/or eliminate workflows applied to content processing

  • Interface with technical teams as needed to refine applications and processes.
