Director/Vice President of Financial Reporting
CBS Corporation seeks public accounting professionals to support the Corporate Financial Reporting department across various areas, including: researching technical accounting and reporting issues; monthly and quarterly close process; and preparation of quarterly and monthly SEC filings. We are open to candidates with eight or more years of straight Public or Public/Private accounting mix. Job titles and responsibilities will vary based on level and type of experience.
Specific Job duties include but are not limited to:
Research technical accounting issues and assist in the implementation of new accounting standards.
Act as a liaison between CBS divisions and Corporate Financial Reporting on accounting and reporting issues.
Assist with the preparation of MD&A and footnote disclosures for Form 10K and Form 10Q filings.
Assist in tagging of financial statements and footnotes for XBRL filing
Assist with reporting related to M&A transactions
Support month end reporting process
Annual impairment testing of goodwill and intangible assets
Perform ad hoc analysis
Complete special projects and analysis as needed
10+ years of experience at a "Big 4" or large accounting firm or a similar mix of Public/Private experience
BS/MS in Accounting
Strong understanding of accounting principles and their application
Strong knowledge of MS Excel
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work well under tight deadlines
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
