DESCRIPTION:

CNET is seeking a Video Production intern for the Fall semester to assist the New York editorial team in all aspects of video production with an emphasis on creating content for YouTube. We're looking for someone with a strong interest in technology and a passion for video storytelling.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assist in the shooting, editing, and publishing of video content for both cnet.com and our YouTube channel

  • Assist in set-up and break-down of sets both in studio and on location

  • Publish videos to a Content Management System (CMS)

Logistics:

  • Time commitment: part-time, 20 hours per week during our regular office hours (Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm) but times may vary per team

  • This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS:

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Photoshop

  • Must be comfortable shooting with DSLR and mirrorless cameras

  • Experience with YouTube Studio

  • Familiarity with voiceover recording as well as on location audio equipment

  • Comfortable using gimbals, sliders, and other related accessories

  • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects a plus

  • Familiarity with basic lighting techniques

  • An understanding of video codecs and export settings

Additional Requirements:

  • Intern must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university

  • Must be at least 18 years old
