The Manager, Interstitial Planning and Scheduling (Streaming/Digital), is primarily responsible for developing digital promotion plans with Showtime Streaming Service partners like Hulu, SONY, Apple, Roku, etc., and optimizing promotional schedules on these streaming platforms. This position is also responsible for scheduling, commissioning and trafficking promotional elements for streaming service campaigns, creating streaming service promotion schedules, keeping abreast of software solutions and post analyzing all plans and schedules for adherence to plan parameters and pre-determined KPIs.
Planning - Develop promotional strategy and media plans for streaming platforms and partner sites:
Lead promotion planning process for Showtime Streaming Service across partners and platforms
Create and manage annual media plan blueprint, as well as media plans for individual campaigns and monthly and weekly plans
Author briefs for the creation of promotional elements and assets when applicable
Create and manage monthly and weekly scheduling highlights for SSS
Use data analytics from both internal and external resources to drive promotional strategy
Collect and analyze data from partners (where and when available) to optimize plan performance
Track and research competitive schedules to identify promotional trends and opportunities
Scheduling - Plan and create promotional schedules for the Showtime Streaming Service across partners and platforms, recognizing the unique characteristics of each:
Create and deliver SSS schedules to partners, including all necessary revisions
Manage promotional flight information for SSS
Commission and traffic promotional elements to be scheduled on all partner platforms for SSS
Act as approver and backup scheduler for Showtime On Demand and Showtime Anytime
Work closely with Program Scheduling as it pertains to non-linear program schedules and catalogues
Become familiar with new scheduling software to improve and streamline the scheduling process for all platforms and services
Counsel partner departments on promotional priorities that align with overall media planning principles and scheduling strategy
Determine change requests with IT to improve functionality of software used
Periodically test scheduling enhancements and "bug fixes" to improve scheduling software
Department Representative - Represent Multiplatform Interstitial Planning and Scheduling in internal and external meetings set up to address a variety of SSS matters:
Counsel internal partner departments on corporate promotional priorities and work to align video strategy across the organization
Act as the multiplatform point person with external partner (e.g., Hulu) Ad Operations groups
Liaise with Business Development on new platforms and products as well as product enhancements with current partners
Collaborate with Research (and Analytics) on best practices for measurement of promotional performance and setting promotional KPIs
A minimum of 5 years of experience working in Digital Marketing and/or Advertising, Media Planning and Buying (especially for digital media), Agency Traffic and/or Operations, or Linear Network Promo Scheduling.
Fundamental knowledge of web and mobile technology
Knowledge of digital advertising and traffic as well as an understanding of digital analytics is essential for this position.
Strong working knowledge of the digital media landscape including VOD, TV Everywhere, Video Streaming, OTT, Social Media, Mobile/Tablet and any new, emerging platforms.
Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office including Power Point, Excel and Word.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt to last minute changes in schedules and delivery, including working beyond regular hours.
Ability to coordinate with various departments and individuals in a high pressured, rapidly changing environment.
