  • Provide technical support on a variety of issues and resolve problems to end users’ satisfaction. Excellent customer service skills for end users is paramount.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with team members and upper management.

  • Support and assist with end user support, training, and desktop maintenance.

  • Experience with directly supporting users with varying skill sets, both locally and remotely.

  • Monitor and respond to telephone calls, email and requests received through the News Help Desk.

  • Document, track and monitor the problem to ensure a timely resolution.

  • Install, test, configure, modify and repair new workstations and associated peripherals, hardware and software.

  • Maintain inventory of all equipment, software and associated licensing.

  • Assist in onboarding and offboarding users.

  • Troubleshoot and provide support for mobile phone issues.

  • Determine the exact nature of the problem (root cause, user error, faulty data lines, hardware malfunctions, software malfunctions, etc.) in order to assist technicians, specialists and users with solutions to problems.



  • Experience supporting Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Office and networking protocols in a large corporate environment.

  • Experience supporting ethernet networks including vLAN, switch, and network routing equipment.

  • Proficient with iPhones, iPad, Android and other mobile devices.

  • Ability to address network printer issues and solutions.

  • Technical understanding of network protocols and services including: TCP/IP, FTP, DNS, DHCP.

  • Knowledge of storage arrays, backup and replication solutions, monitoring systems.

  • Excellent time management, multitasking, and prioritization skills.

  • A very strong and dedicated work ethic.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate to all levels of users and management in written and oral form.

  • An ability to take charge in given situations and offer recommendations that benefit the clients and company.
