Givewith is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. As an early stage team member, you will have significant ownership of and responsibility for the development of the Givewith technology platform. You are seeking an entrepreneurial opportunity, and the ability to develop an industry-changing, socially impactful global SaaS platform. You have a successful track record of architecting, building, and shipping large feature sets, refactors and enhancements. You have expertise in scaling a growing MongoDB instance, and are comfortable handling complex data transformations in Python. You are a contributor to engineering organizational culture, and want to be a key stakeholder in the expansion of a new engineering organization.


  • Be a key, early contributor to our growing codebase

  • Partner with the engineering organization to plan and prepare for new features and enhancements on our technical roadmap

  • Architect, design, build, and deploy new features

  • Design and scale systems that collect, store, and transform data from various external sources

  • Collaborate with our engineering organization as well as product and design to build and ship new features

  • Support our Agile processes to build a high quality product development lifecycle, and organized, thoughtful team culture (Scrum, planning, backlog grooming, sprint demos)

  • Run code review sessions with our internal engineering team

  • Work with non-technical stakeholders to define and build new features


  • 5+ years of experience working as a software engineer, preferably at a company in the SaaS business

  • Strong knowledge of Python, preferably with some Java experience as well

  • Experience architecting and designing complex software applications and RESTful APIs

  • Experience with Agile processes

  • Advanced experience with version control systems (Git)

  • The ability to work collaboratively or independently

  • The ability to communicate clearly with non-technical business leadership

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and service oriented architecture

  • Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, SQS, Route 53)

  • Familiarity with Docker, Terraform, and Ansible

  • Experience with administering and scaling MongoDB
