DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a versatile ServiceNow Admin/Developer with experience in CMS and Service Portal. As a member of the UX and Emerging Products Team (housed within the Corporate IT organization of CBS) you will contribute to the ideation, design, development, and support of a variety of in-house products.

The majority of this role is dedicated to the redesign, implementation, and maintenance of our Service Portal front-end running on ServiceNow. This role will have a significant impact in migrating successfully from CMS to Service Portal - driving core functionality, designing, and launching Service Portal, as well as managing ongoing enhancements. Requires a strong interest in implementing site search, corporate directory, live chat and/or chat bot, user analytics, and other forward-thinking initiatives.

An ideal candidate can help us improve the user experience of our portal, monitor our DEV/TEST/PROD servers, and participate actively in design discussions. Certification as a ServiceNow System Administrator or ServiceNow Application Developer (within the past 3 years) is preferred for this role.

We're looking for a candidate who is experienced and passionate about ServiceNow and Service Portal, but also craves expanding their portfolio with creative, UX-focused projects. Core responsibilities are focused on Service Now (75%) but will also collaborate on other front-end development work as needed (25% - responsive websites, Wordpress, etc.)

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop workflows, core functionality, and front-end of Service Portal

  • Participate in visual design sessions (wireframe through design comp) with the team

  • Translate design comps and other specifications into working code

  • Develop ServiceNow integrations utilizing the REST API

  • Server side scripting in Jelly/ServiceNow proprietary

  • Build other responsive web applications (technologies vary with the need)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

A thorough understanding of the technologies used in Service Portal including:

  • AngularJS 1.xx - including writing custom directives

  • SCSS / CSS3

  • HTML / Bootstrap

  • Glide scripting (model query)

An ideal candidate has at least 3-5 years of experience working with common front-end web technologies:

  • jQuery

  • Rest API / JSON

  • AJAX

Other preferred skills/capabilities:

  • Google Analytics and/or Google Tag Manager

  • User Experience and User Interface Design knowledge

  • Experience utilizing product management & collaboration software (Pivotal Tracker, Box, Slack, Sharepoint, GoToMeeting, etc.)

  • Familiarity with Kaleo/ServiceNow integration is a plus

  • Some experience/interest in Wordpress and/or responsive websites outside of ServiceNow (PHP, SQL)
