The Social Media Producer/Community Manager for INSIDE EDITION will work with the broadcast and digital teams for the show, and CBS Interactive to create content, interact and maintain the community for INSIDE EDITION’s digital audiences, reporting to the Director of Social. You will come up with innovative solutions to grow engagement on YouTube and be the "voice" for the brand on select social channels. You will be a lead for the team on social listening, reporting on trends, and conversation.
Work directly with the Director and the senior social media producer to schedule posts throughout the day and manage the community across select platforms.
Effectively interact with community and internal stakeholders (digital and show producers).
Team administration, traffic coordination, team calendar and communication with edit, video, graphics, etc.
Identify and capitalize on social media trends, pop-culture, and occasional breaking news content.
Work with editorial and legal teams to ensure approved content and distribution.
Analyze and distribute social listening reports for the digital team.
Maintain social media accounts by ensuring best practices, while fostering a positive brand image for INSIDE EDITION.
Curate and own the "voice" of the brand on YouTube’s active community and develop innovative and creative strategies to grow engagement.
Generate innovative ideas with a particular focus on expanding INSIDE EDITION’s presence and community engagement across social media platforms, specifically YouTube, Twitter, and potentially another platform.
Work with team(s) to develop new and revenue growing series ideas and/or content for Facebook and IGTV.
What you bring to the team:
You have -
A social media native, news and pop-culture junkie, loves writing pithy and engaging copy and have an avid interest in social media platforms/technology, analytics, and audience development. 2-4 years experience.
Demonstrated ability to generate new and creative ideas for social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Live video, etc.
Ability to write clever and/or compelling copy in under 280 characters; and demonstrate sound news judgement; headline writing or journalism experience preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate with community, talent, producers, and various internal stakeholders.
Experience with social media and online tools including, Hootsuite, Sprinklr, True Anthem, Google Analytics, Google Trends, Facebook Insights, etc.
Great organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple projects with ease, meet deadlines and work under pressure in an extremely fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
You might also have -
Experience with Photoshop and basic knowledge of design.
Business analysis and analytics background.
Come from a news media organization.
Background in journalism.
