POSITION OVERVIEW:

CBS Television Stations is looking for an SVP, Multimedia Sales to deliver a first-class sales structure and leadership to its digital and linear teams. The position will focus on creating a more innovative sales transaction process as well as business development using the powerful reach of the CBS O&O Stations’ assets.

CORE Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of linear and digital sales budgets for all regions of CTS, including daily pacing, budget and goal tracking with President of Sales.

  • Establish sales culture through training and mentoring including leading all line managers and sellers.

  • Updating of Salesforce pipeline and highlighting strengths and weaknesses of current deals being negotiated.

  • Help facilitate deal creation and oversight of all business development and marketing efforts.

  • Create and execute rollout of CTS electronic sales trading platform to current agency customers.

  • Lead and develop OTT budget goals for the CTS and collaborate on all connected screen selling strategies.

  • Ongoing collaboration with IT solutions and their migration to sales staff and agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

IDEAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 10 years of senior-level leadership experience with a media organization.

  • Candidate must have qualities of an effective leader. As well as providing direction, inspiration and guidance, candidate should exhibit courage, passion, confidence, commitment and ambition.

  • Leadership experience across platforms including broadcast and digital.

  • Key relationships with major advertising agencies and clients contacts.

  • Proven track record within the media industry and among leading marketers for effective, contemporary selling.

  • Demonstrated exceptional business acumen, interpersonal communication skills and executive presence.

  • Ideal candidate will have generated significant advertising revenue in a media business by employing marketing savvy and strategic account planning discipline.
