CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. Among its stations are WCBS-TV and WLNY-TV (New York), KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV (Los Angeles), WBBM-TV (Chicago), KYW-TV and WPSG-TV (Philadelphia), KTVT-TV and KTXA-TV (Dallas-Ft. DESCRIPTION:

POSITION PURPOSE

To ensure employees are compensated correctly each pay period. To monitor and track all hiring, promotion and separation data to ensure compliance with the Dept. of Labor and EEO. Ensure proper General Ledger costs are allocated to station and distributed appropriately. Compile and monitor salary budgets. Tracking of personal service contracts and adjusting compensation.

RESPONSIBILTIES

Payroll processing for both TV Stations including Union and Non-Union personnel

Reconciling all payroll related monthly costs

Maintain all employment activity including hires, promotions, separations, EEO statistics, Dept. Of Labor reports, Workers Comp, FMLA, disability claims Affirmative Action Plans, Disabled Veterans Plans and the Public FCC EEO report.

Calculate quarterly bonus payments

Completion of all headcount surveys from outside/inside firms.

Ensure job descriptions are up to date.

Posting and tracking of all open positions

Compiling salary budgets and forecasting each month’s salary cost and analyzing variances

Perform all month end payroll closing

Inputting headcount numbers during month end closing.

Recording all payroll related General Ledger entries each month.

Processing payment requests payroll related deductions.

Assist Controller with personnel issues, special projects, attending job fairs

Compiling data for SOX testing.

Assisting personnel with any benefit or payroll related issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors Degree in related field

Microsoft Word, Excel

Oracle experienced preferred

Workforce, Avature, Kbace, Sharepoint, WideOrbit and Apex experience a plusOrganizational skills. Ability to interact well with others. Must work under deadline pressure. Familiar with budgeting and forecasting payroll costs.
