And we’ve been growing since we’ve joined the CBS family with strong investment in our digital content and platforms, 10 Play, 10 Daily, 10 All Access, and 10 Speaks.

But enough about us.

It’s right there in the title… we’re looking for a Data Engineer to join our team! This is a newly created role, reporting to the Analytics Lead, and will require a demonstrative knowledge of development & maintenance of database systems. This is a key role supporting analytics and broader requirements. You will build and manage data collection systems and processing data "pipes". You will get to work with an amazing team, best of breed technologies and leading agency partners as you help shape the future of 10’s digital audience offering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, construct, install, test and maintain highly scalable data management systems

  • Manage data ingestion, manipulation, matching and orchestration, supporting campaign and analytics requirements

  • Work within 10’s Data Warehouse, CDP, DMP and/or other systems as required

  • Manage and define requirements to continually optimize the way 10 is receiving and ingesting data, from both internal and external sources

  • Employ a variety of languages and tools (e.g. SQL, C/C++, Java, Python, R) to marry systems together

  • Develop ETL processes for data modelling, mining and dashboard production

  • Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures

  • Create custom software components and analytics applications

  • Define the requirements and technical specifications for new data sources, and work collaboratively with other business users and/or external partners to validate requirements for data transfer and ingestion

  • Continuously develop new and improved data engineering best practice and capabilities

  • Work collaboratively across the business, understanding the needs of various teams while being an evangelist for 10’s digital audience offering

QUALIFICATIONS:

About you:

  • A keen interest in television, media and the role of digital in a new connected world, and a strong desire to be a part of that!

  • Deep expertise in enterprise development languages, tools, patterns and architecture

  • Demonstrable experience working within Marketing Automation Platforms (Eloqua, Braze) and Customer Data Platforms (Lotame, Tealium, Big Query, Adobe Marketing Cloud)

  • You have demonstrative experience working with vast and disparate data sources, with systematic and proven techniques to bring these together

  • You are able to clearly define and document technical requirements and specifications pertaining to data

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or a technology related field is preferred, though not essential.

  • You are inquisitive by nature and are constantly seeking ways to improve your area of focus

  • You are able to work well autonomously

  • You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
