ABOUT US:

CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. Among its stations are WCBS-TV and WLNY-TV (New York), KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV (Los Angeles), WBBM-TV (Chicago), KYW-TV and WPSG-TV (Philadelphia), KTVT-TV and KTXA-TV (Dallas-Ft. Worth), KPIX-TV and KBCW-TV (San Francisco), WBZ-TV and WSBK-TV (Boston), WUPA-TV (Atlanta), WWJ-TV and WKBD-TV (Detroit), KSTW-TV (Seattle), WTOG-TV (Tampa-St. Petersburg), WCCO-TV (Minneapolis), KCNC-TV (Denver), WFOR-TV and WBFS-TV (Miami), KOVR-TV and KMAX-TV (Sacramento), KDKA-TV and WPCW-TV (Pittsburgh), WJZ-TV (Baltimore), as well as WCCO-TV’s satellite stations KCCO-TV (Alexandria, Minn.) and KCCW-TV (Walker, Minn.).

DESCRIPTION:

CBS-San Francisco, including KPIX and KBCW, is seeking an experienced Account Executive. The ideal candidate is someone who can sell KPIX and KBCW’s commercial inventory, CBS-SF’s digital platform and Sports Marketing opportunities as well as outer-market CBS Owned-and-Operated station opportunities.

Position Expectations: Drive advertising sales across the CBS-San Francisco portfolio.

  • Establish agency and direct-client relationships in the SF market and surrounding territories.

  • Develop plans, quarterly & annually, to drive revenue and market share across all CBS-SF platforms.

  • Continually prospect, develop and maintain new, non-traditional revenue opportunities.

  • Understand client needs and then collaborate with internal teams to create customized, integrated solutions.

  • Manage execution, both traditional and non-traditional, from pre-sell through post-recap.

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications:

  • Three years of multi-platform sales experience

  • Strong marketing, presentation and closing skills

  • Proven track record of past selling skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Valid California driver’s license

Preferred Skills/Experience: Candidate must be self-motivated, detail oriented and able to handle multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment. Wide Orbit & Strata proficiency preferred.

Education Level: College degree preferred.

Physical Demands: Must be able to sit at desk and operate a keyboard for an extended period of time. Must be able to travel and/or drive to client meetings and/or presentations. Must be able to effectively communicate (in English) both verbally and in writing.
