Brand Overview:

CNET en Español, launched in 2013, is CNET’s Spanish-language version and is focused on giving tech advice to US Hispanics via tutorials and reviews. CNET en Español also covers the tech industry directly from Silicon Valley, along with the most important pop culture events.

CNET en Español is looking for a talented and experienced video content producer and editor to assist in all aspects of video production for the brand.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Shoot and edit video for the Web and other platforms, including YouTube

  • Plan and produce video shoots

  • Coordinate with editorial team to produce timely videos

  • Work closely with editors and talent on a day-to-day basis

  • Manage the full workflow of video production for the site

  • Present and perform in front of the camera when need-be

  • Write scripts in professional-level Spanish

  • Write and edit headlines in clear and direct Spanish

Key Projects:

  • Work on several video franchises for multiple platforms

  • Create new video franchises with the rest of the editorial team

  • Propose video projects and ideas based on news cycle & editorial needs

  • Execute personal video and editorial projects a few times per year

  • Assist editor-in-chief with planning and execution of long-term video projects


What you bring to the team:

You have -

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in journalism or broadcast journalism

  • Minimum 3 years working in video production

  • Expert use of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop

  • Expertise in indoor and outdoor video production

  • Impeccable written Spanish at a professional level

  • Excellent spoken Spanish with flawless diction

  • Fully bilingual English and Spanish

  • A deep knowledge of tech news

  • Strong communications skills, work ethic and collaborative ethos

  • Independent, creative and a self-starter

  • Provide a reel with best, current work

  • Must pass a comprehensive Spanish-language and video production test
