Division Overview:

Yield Management brings analyses and insights to people at all levels of the CBS Interactive organization. Our roots go back to the beginnings of online media, where we pioneered some of the first ad delivery and inventory models. Our responsibilities have grown over the years to encompass pricing and a broader concept of yield management. Today we frequently function like an internal consulting group, focusing on a host of revenue optimization strategies. These strategies are as varied as page design, media pricing & packaging, sales compensation and corporate strategy, to name a few.

Role Details:

The Manager, Advanced Advertising works with a diverse group within the company and has the opportunity to work on projects that cross departments and functions. They understand the current digital landscape and help lead CBSi into the future.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Optimize revenue potential and product mix across advanced advertising products, geos, and platforms for all brands.

  • Development, strategy & planning of advanced selling such as Data or Segment selling, Addressibility, Attribution and AdvancedTV

  • Understand data buying approach using the CBSi Data capabilities/stack and manages this inventory for possible avails and pricing

  • Collaborating with Yield and Sales Management to develop smart, data-driven inventory, and pricing strategies.

  • Develop and maintain reporting on data driven sales

  • Understand the quickly changing advanced advertising landscape and keep Yield Management up to speed on the environment.

  • Interface with sales leads and site management. Also develop relationships with: Ad Ops, Client Services, Research, Ad Products, and FP&A.


What you bring to the team:

You have -

  • BS/BA degree in a quantitative/ problem solving field (or equivalent training and experience)

  • 4+ years related work experience. Exceptional candidates with less experience will be considered.

  • 2+ years Data Buying and/or Planning, Advanced TV, or Advanced Advertising experience

  • Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills

  • The ability to collaborate effectively within the Yield Team as well as engage seamlessly with stakeholders across all of CBS Interactive is essential to success

  • Candidates should display both a natural curiosity and a talent for finding the signal through the noise

You might also have -

  • SQL experience, Experience with DoubleClick, YieldEx, Operative, Omniture, Google Analytics
