Additionally, as part of the expansion of the Star Trek universe, the Studio produces the Untitled Star Trek series featuring Sir Patrick Stewart reprising the role of Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Star Trek: Short Treks as well as the recently announced Star Trek: Lower Decks, which marks CBS All Access’s foray into the animation landscape. The Studio’s programming also includes series based on popular, viral segments from THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN, "Carpool Karaoke" for Apple Music and "Drop the Mic" for TBS, as well as "Insatiable," "Unbelievable" and "Dead to Me" for Netflix. Additionally, the Studio produces the comedy anthology series "The Guest Book" for TBS; OUR CARTOON PRESIDENT and YOUR HONOR for SHOWTIME as well as "A Higher Loyalty," a miniseries based on former FBI Director James Comey’s memoir.
The Global Franchise Management group is responsible for establishing and maintaining a cohesive Star Trek franchise presence cross-company.
The Global Franchise Management team is seeking a social content producer who will be responsible for developing and growing the social media presence for the Star Trek franchise. The ideal candidate for this position is obsessed with social content creation and fan engagement, while also having extensive experience creating content and writing for social audiences across various social platforms, both old and new.
Develop and execute social content and strategies that enhance Star Trek’s presence in the digital space, including:
Responsible for writing and positioning daily social posts across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other channels
Ideate, coordinate, and oversee production of social content plans for show launches and ongoing sustainment
Collaborate with designers and video editors to execute original editorial, graphic design and video assets.
Keep a well-documented publishing schedule and calendar
Track performance and results of campaigns and initiatives to ensure social performance and business objectives are being met
Assist with community management across social channels - actively engage and respond to followers and brainstorm ways to encourage social conversation
3+ years experience producing custom social content and managing brand social accounts, preferably in entertainment
Experience developing and creating visuals and video optimized for sharing
Deep understanding of publishing on various social platforms and nuances of the end-user experience on each
Keen eye for visual storytelling through photo and video with ability to use photo and video editing tools to self-serve on content for distribution
Passionate and knowledgeable about television and pop culture
Ability to work against tight deadlines and flexibility to pivot on strategy and execution when necessary
Willingness to work nights and/or weekends if necessary
Possess intermediate knowledge of and a passion for the Star Trek franchise
Prior experience managing social accounts for a network or major studio
