DESCRIPTION:

The IT Collaboration Team is responsible for the discovery, design, implementation, operation, and escalation of CBS Interactive’s collaboration portfolio, allowing employees to work effectively together. We are seeking an energetic team player/IT professional with wide range of experience in various IT technologies. Our team manages many areas such as, Messaging (Slack & G-Suite), VOIP telephony, billing optimization, company webcasting events, mobile security and device management, audio/video/web conferencing solutions and SaaS based solutions. As the Senior IT Collaboration Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving our existing infrastructure as well as taking the lead on technical projects.

Role Details:

The Support Engineer is responsible for supporting, monitoring and maintaining the computer systems and networks of the CBS Interactive office in Singapore for about 30 employees. The Support Engineer is the only point of contact at this office for all IT related tasks including but not limited to workstation imaging, maintenance of systems hardware and software, vmware, office network and managing SaaS based technologies. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual is a part of the global collaborative system team, and is required to provide remote support to other office locations. All collaborative system team members provide global support around the clock to all SaaS based technology such as Zoom, Slack, Google suite, etc...

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Be responsible for the operation of On-Prem & Cloud VOIP systems including enterprise contact center.

  • Provide daily onsite IT helpdesk support

  • Evaluate system performance, recognize & deliver improvements to system designs in accordance to best-practices. Maintain awareness of changes in new technology and advances in the industry and relevant systems

  • Manage and maintain office IT infrastructure, VM environment and disaster recovery practices

  • Collaborate with partners, vendors, and other team members on cross-functional initiatives

  • Provide global support for multiple team managed technologies like Google Suite, Slack, and etc…

Key Projects:

  • Design, implement and support group audio and visual conferencing technologies, both on-prem and cloud.

  • Multiple google suite related projects like replacing file storage with google drive, generating google usage reports and etc...

  • Create runbooks for SaaS based technologies such as zoom, asana, pagerduty and etc...

  • Create a standard VM backup and restore procedure. Duplicate the effort for international office locations

  • Lead proof of concept projects

  • Build API reporting dashboard

QUALIFICATIONS:

What you bring to the team:

  • 1-2 years relevant VOIP experience

  • 1-2 years G-Suite support experience and G suite certification desired

  • Good familiarity with Linux, Windows and Mac OS support

  • Good knowledge of Slack administration

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Strong customer service skills and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment

  • Experience working with Python an advantage

  • Experience working with API’s an advantage
