CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. Among its stations are WCBS-TV and WLNY-TV (New York), KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV (Los Angeles), WBBM-TV (Chicago), KYW-TV and WPSG-TV (Philadelphia), KTVT-TV and KTXA-TV (Dallas-Ft. WTOG/CW44, CBS Television Stations, is seeking a bright, energetic and motivated self-starter to fill the Sales Assistant role supporting our St. Petersburg/Tampa sales team. The Sales Assistant will provide support for sales management, account executives as well as traffic, clients, and agencies. The Sales Assistant works within established sales department guidelines to maximize station revenue opportunities from an order entry and traffic perspective. The Sales Assistant is also responsible for performing all administration functions required by department personnel as needed. Must be able to prioritize and juggle several projects simultaneously without losing quality.

Duties include:

  • Enter orders, traffic and sales data into Wide Orbit

  • Maintain awareness of the most current traffic policies, practices and procedures

  • Prepare forms and reports as required

  • Maintain files and other business records

  • Assist with National sales duties and coordinate scheduling of paid programs

  • Perform all administrative functions for the sales department

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Must be able to interact with clients, account executives, management and interdepartmentally, with poise and professionalism

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a sales administrative role, preferably with at least one year in media/broadcast/digital sales support

  • Experience with Wide Orbit traffic software preferred

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (including Excel, Word and Power Point)

  • Solid communication skills, both oral and written, with a strong attention to detail

  • Proficiency with computers, copiers, scanners, and other office equipment
