Showtime Networks is searching for an Original Programming Finance Director in our Los Angeles office.

Responsibilities include managing the ultimate revenue, monthly reporting, and financial planning and analysis for the worldwide ancillary revenue and programming asset amortization for Showtime’s Original Programming as reported in the LA Programming Finance Income Statement.

The Director prepares detailed management reports and variance analysis and presents the results to the Department Head in both monthly reporting and forecasting meetings.

The Director must have database or business intelligence system experience to help drive process design and optimization.

This position works closely with other finance, business affairs and sales groups within CBS and Showtime in LA and NY.

Duties also include preparing ultimate revenue and content licensing analysis, quarterly audit schedules and detailed operating analyses that support LA Programming Finance’s annual budget, monthly rolling forecasts and LRP submissions.

The individual in this position reports to the Vice President of Original Programming Finance and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment.


Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience within a Finance/Accounting environment, preferably concentrated in the entertainment industry.

Distribution finance experience is preferred.

B.S degree in Accounting or Finance highly preferred. CPA/MBA preferred.

Managerial/supervisory experience is required.

Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and forecasting concepts is a must.

Strong project management and presentation skills are required.

Must be highly proficient using Microsoft Excel and in using Tableau (or similar business intelligence system) for data analysis and reporting. Oracle/PeopleSoft general ledger and TM1 Budgeting & Planning experience are preferred.

Must have the ability to multi-task.
