DESCRIPTION:

CBS Sports Network is looking for a Freelance Media Service Coordinator. The position will assist multiple departments on a daily basis while gaining valuable post-production technical knowledge.

  • Field inbound and outbound media requests for both linear and non-linear distribution of content.

  • Input ingested media and corresponding metadata in asset management systems.

  • Perform quality control on all meta-data resulting in optimized search capabilities for production.

  • Archive, restore, dub and distribute media assets required for Studio, Remote or Post-Production projects.

  • Schedule and maintain media archive requests, both digital and video tape, required by production to maintain system efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Expert knowledge of file format (Essence/Wrappers) and transcoding software

  • Experience with standard tape to tape duplications and conversions

  • Experience with SONY and Dalet asset management systems a plus

  • Knowledge of production including editing and audio standards and tape formats

  • Highly organized with strong interpersonal, client relations and communication skills

  • Ability to perform duties with objectivity and strong attention to detail required

  • Solid computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office required

  • Ability to work varied schedule, including swing and 3rd shift as required

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
