CBS seeks a Sourcer/ Junior Recruiter for a temp to perm position.

Responsibilities include:

*Conduct pre-screen conversations with candidates to evaluate readiness to be considered as a candidate for hire

  • A clear understanding of the recruiting process and the importance of the candidate experience and willingness to enhance processes to provide a stronger experience

  • Demonstrated success in generating high quality diverse pipeline of candidates through advanced Boolean searches, social networking, database mining, centers of influence, cold calling and all other resources available

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with senior recruiters, hiring managers and passive candidates

  • Serve as a brand ambassador for our organization by promoting our value proposition and our position in the market

  • Evaluate potential candidates to gauge skillset and expereince, as well as interest in current and future job opportunities

  • Establish a pipeline of candidates based on the future needs of the organization

  • Utilize and maintain our applicant tracking system

  • Post company job opportunities on external websites; industry publications, etc.

  • Create innovative sourcing strategies and ensure a high-touch candidate experience

  • Identify and utilize a variety of search tools and techniques through social media channels, job boards, database mining and cold calling to promote open positions and to identify relevant talent



  • Bachelor’s degree required, 1+ years of experience in identifying and securing talent for multiple business functions inlcuding but not limited to News, Production, Analytics, PR, Marketing and Research.

  • Experience sourcing candidate via online resume databases, including Linkedin required

  • Experience in social recruiting via Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms preferred.

  • Self-motivated with ability to establish and sustain strong internal customer relationships and external candidate relationships, effectively balancing the needs of each

  • Ability to manage change and influence others in order to reach stated objectives

  • Excellent communication and business writing skills

  • Ability to handle a heavy workload, including scheduling, scourcing, and screening in a sometimes stressful but friendly environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft office including Excel, Word and Powerpoint
