Smithsonian Channel is a joint venture between Showtime Networks and the Smithsonian Institution. Our awe-inspiring programs, powerful documentaries and entertaining factual stories shine new light on popular genres such as air and space, history, science, nature, travel and pop culture. From legacy series such as Aerial America, Million Dollar American Princesses and Air Disasters to recent hits like America in Color, The Lost Tapes and The Coronation, our award-winning programming is available across multiple platforms in HD and 4K Ultra HD. The Channel is also available internationally in Canada, Singapore and Latin America, with more international launches to come in 2019. We currently have offices in New York City and Washington, DC.
The Smithsonian Channel is seeking a Partner Marketing Coordinator to join the Digital Media team. This role will support the Partner Marketing team to drive OTT and DTO subscriber and revenue growth by assisting in the development and delivery of promotional assets across 15 distinct digital distribution partner platforms, including three new critical platforms (Roku Channel, Apple TV and Apple iTunes UK). Reporting to the Director of Partner Marketing, this person will collaborate with the Design, Editorial, Social, and Consumer Marketing teams to fulfill promotional asset requests from digital partners. This role will also manage DTO inventory and windowing for domestic and international launches (UK & Canada) and will assist in tracking campaign performance across a variety of digital platforms.
Support the Partner Marketing team in the development and delivery of video, image, and copy assets to partners.
Work closely with the creative, editorial, social and project management teams to ensure clear communication on asset creation needs and deadlines.
Track and maintain OTT and DTO promotions library.
Assist in preparing competitive tracking reports across OTT and DTO partner platforms.
Oversee (and eventually own) avails workflow process for DTO.
Monitor app user ratings and reviews via Amazon, iTunes, Roku, and Google.
Manage DTO inventory for U.S. and International territories.
Work with R&C to confirm DTO program rights.
Manage show expirations and content takedowns on partner platforms.
Create and manage templates for internal and external partner marketing presentations.
Research potential new digital partnerships.
Assist in Digital budget tracking and invoice submission process.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail, professional demeanor, sense of urgency, collaborative, and courteous attitude.
Ability to prioritize and multitask time sensitive assignments.
Affinity for documentary programming.
Digital media, entertainment, and/or marketing experience is a plus.
